Things That Make You Go Hmmmm...

This week instead of writing an actual article I will be going through the task list and updating it, along with the accompanying graphs and points. Let me share this: considering the long road ahead of us, I cannot help but wonder if there will be a contributor who tries to earn the most points. An interesting consideration really, though improbable. However, simply making such a statement in of itself could be the challenge that nurtures the motivation from someone to attempt it. Things that make you go "Hmmmm". Back to the topic at hand: Tasks, points, and graphs. Many tasks have been accomplished but there are still plenty to go around. Mostly the tasks that we have worked on were to finish the blog and peripherals, which make our goals achievable. Nonetheless, the current state of our blog is pretty impressive (I am a little biased). To be honest, I haven't heard of a single complaint aside from the unsecured warning that some devices receive for accessing the mob

Good morning, afternoon or evening everyone. I would like to take a moment to discuss the changes that we have completed in the last few weeks. Amazing feet, if I say so myself, all things considering. First I will go over the things that we have done to make this blog support the needs of this project, then I will tell y'all about the RL things that have made our tasks here... an opportunity to grow. This blog was created as a place where people could watch and participate in the development of an actual online game. To do that we knew we were going to need to break this down into tasks and that we would need more people. The decision to seek artistic and creative contributions from others was made early in the pre-production stage of development and thus the need for a method of accepting those contributions became a task. Please understand that I am not a business major, I am a software major with an expected graduation date of 2024. That's four years before the proje

The Birth of a Nation

Maybe you can remember history class because it was only a few hours ago, or can never forget it because it was the most exciting course in your curriculum. Personally, I dreaded history class and found it difficult to remember all of the events, dates, and characters involved. That was in part because it was American history where I was instead bedazzled by European folklore. The lore of elves, gnomes, goblins, and trolls captured my attention and nurtured my imagination.    Now here I am writing a pseudo-history for the world I dreamed up as a child and I cannot help but chuckle at the frustrations and shortsightedness of my youth. Backstories are an integral part of making a world come to life. The Zelda series is an excellent example of a franchise that fleshed out a deeper backstory as it added depth to their games. Originally there were a handful of mobs and bosses but no real depth. We are bringing Epimetheus to life in a way that requires an explanation for behaviors like
