Do You Have What It Takes?

001
There is a lot that goes into keeping this shindig afloat. We have weekly posts, a weekly quote, a monthly storyline, artwork that is being remastered every day and pages that are being expanded and improved weekly as well. That is a lot for one guy. Thankfully, our Product Manager handles social media responsibilities.

So, on the one hand, I feel, as the major contributor, as though I have let you guys down the last couple of weeks. There has been very little done on the expansion, and I still have yet to complete the Nephilim. Then there is the looming monthly installment for the storyline which is right around the corner, just waiting to lunge upon my free time like a ravenous wolf.

Luckily there is a passion to see this through that nary an unrefined monster, nor whimsical adage can fluster. Be it unfair weather patterns or personal valleys of melancholy and mayhem, the Developer Producer charges into the shadow of the sword with victory on his tongue. In short, a slow period of production does not mean a loss of focus.

Now, to get down to business. Remastering the Nephilim have been a provocation of both small and enormous measure. It is the posture, mostly, that has vexed yours truly. By clicking on the images in this post you can observe that there are constant changes being made to the subject's physique. But then again remastering really is synonymous with refining, isn't it? The right thigh, both shoulders, the toes, and neck are all areas that needed extensive attention.

004
Nonetheless, this post is not going to center on the remastering of this winged race. The images are placed within the post so that all can see the progress that has been made.

There have been maps reintroduced to the "World of Epimetheus" page. Upon closer scrutiny, some might question why the level of detail is not as good on some as it is in others. While the time has been taken to improve the Barrens map, not much has been done with others as of yet. We are completing the race images first.

That being said, there will be more done on the "Races" page first. Once the playable races of Aborlon all have remastered images, there will be introductory videos, bios listing racial attributes as well as preferred professions. Then the images of each race will be added to the respective nations on the"Nations" page and a link tied to those images to the appropriate race page. This will go a long way in simplifying a quick means of traversing the site.

On the racial page with the Bio will be a color scale to identify that particular race's range of skin, hair, and eye colors. Visually this will be both appealing and helpful to new prospective contributors. Included in the Bio will be listed their height, weight, and age ranges as well. Effectively Team Epimetheus will flesh out those races found on Aborlon before creating any additional content for other game elements.

There are some areas that should be discussed with our avid followers. First is the term 'Contributor', a term that I personally have used quite literally to death. The idea was to encompass all of the ways in which a person could help bring this game to life. However, as time has continued its inevitable move forward, 'contributor' has lost its sense of context. Apropos, there is going to be a poll to uncover whether or not we should start using the word 'collaborator' in its stead. So be sure to check that out on our facebook page.

Next, I would like to approach the terminology that has been both a point of pride as well as a thorn in the side in the Amazing World of Epimetheus. Instead of 'years', we use the term 'legra'. Instead of 'feet' or 'meters', we use 'hand spaces' and then there are the unique and interesting ways in which Epimetheus has coined as matters of expression, such as the phrase: "way of the wind", and "as the wind blows" to identify rumors and gossip. Your input really is valued on these topics, as Epimetheus isn't about one person. Besides, we need to know if this going a little too far.
007

Finally, there will eventually be a Glossary added to the site to help newcomers grasp some of the more unique terms, locations, and names found in Epimetheus. Having worked on this idea for the last 25 years I have a very clear understanding of what we are going for. However, newcomers might feel overwhelmed and that is counterintuitive to the Team Epimetheus approach. So keep a lookout for that improvement as well.

We will keep those polls open until we reach 20 votes on any one choice. This way we have a pretty good sample base. These decisions aren't going to hold back production given the current focus. Hopefully, our team can illicit a healthy response from our growing number of fans, and maybe even draw in some new ones at the same time.

Given the list of things that are being tackled, and the recurring tasks that must be tended to, we here at Team Epimetheus want to know: "Do you have what it takes to be a contributor/collaborator?" This week it takes nothing more than going to our facebook and checking a couple of boxes to give us your opinion. Pretty simple right? So, what is keeping you from doing it?

As always please feel free to either comment below or email your ideas, suggestions, complaints, or compliments to either admin. Have a great week. And I pray that you all had an outstanding Easter this year. Remember, it is about the cross, not the candy.
