Have you ever just tried too hard?

The more artistic content that is created utilizing the paint.net software, the better the work gets. When this project began an art asset took no more than ten to twelve hours to remaster. It seems like a world of time when considering it alone. However, if a world of time describes the time spent on the first examples then the more than thirty-six hours spent on the Nephilim must easily transcend to the life cycle of a solar system.

Perhaps it is the finer details found within the talons of the feet or the odd body posture, or perhaps it is the detailed shading found within each horn and tusk. No matter which aspect of the remastering bogged down the progress of this particular asset, the image never truly felt complete. But sometimes a project has to be called complete, and this demonic-looking race needed to reach its omega.

Between some images, like images 10 and 11, one has to look very carefully to see where the time was spent. Whether infinite amounts of Father Time's sand amounted to questionable amounts of progress or not, this asset has reached maturity. There are of course many unmentioned factors that have tilted the hourglass of completion to a horizontal position.

Some people may have noticed that our amazing Product Manager has stepped down. Words cannot truly describe the level of involvement and production that that amazing woman has brought to this project. Team Epimetheus hopes and prays that she will return to the team with that amazing tenacity and wholesome goodness that she became so well-known for. So that is minus one for the team.

In addition, my real-life job has cut my hours in half at a time where it couldn't have been any more damaging. While their sole responsibility lies within their bottom line, your fearless

Developer Producer had so hoped for a little financial stability within its production line. So it seems that I must beat feet on the streets to locate either a supplement to my income or a more promising opportunity than the instability of my seemingly precarious position now. Whether it is my past, an oversight on my part or a simple matter of nepotism that has led to the slow yet inevitable demise of my employment is irrelevant, but inquiring minds do want to know.

For the most part, my personal life is kept relatively distant from the digital realm of Team Epimetheus to maintain an image of professionalism as well to keep the attention where it should remain focused: on the progress being made. In this situation, it feels prudent to update our avid followers as to some of the hurdles that the team has had to clear to keep the ball rolling. It is a segway to a potential change in the level of progress that you will see on this project.

If you want to see the finished, remastered asset you have to go to the Races page and locate the link to the Nephilim. It is a little tricky. In fact, it is a clear sign that a drop-down box would be a better approach to these pages, or perhaps a simple link list in the sidebar. What I had to do was click a different race and then click on the 'more' choice to get a drop-down list.
So that is this month's update/post. As always we appreciate any feedback. So don't hesitate to drop us a line. Be patient however when posting a comment as all comments must be checked before posting (also known as moderating}. This helps to ensure that there is no vulgarity or uncouth remarks. My kids come to this site and we wish it to be safe for all children. Until next time, ciao.
