Beware the Ides of March

March is already half over. Stimulus checks are being distributed around the country. Bans due to COVID are finally being lifted. Spring is only a few days away. Yeah, baby!!! Change is happening.

But what about our beloved game project? Where is that at? What has been going on there? Where ya at Mr. Blog-poster?

This blog has been running for nearly three years now. There have been hundreds of improvements as well as phenomenal progress made. All of which is documented in posts within this Blog and summaries found on our website. But since the beginning of this year, things have gone quiet. Inquiring minds want to know: what's up?

This blog was created to serve two purposes. The first was to elicit the help of others in developing the game. The secondary purpose was to communicate with the public the progress being made in developing the game. There has always been a hope that the first targeted goal would alleviate the burden of the second. But hope is a fickle and fleeting bird caught in the storms of modern sociology. Tossed to and fro by the currents of mainstream media, desperately searching for that stable limb to set upon. Alas, our limbs sway in that very turbulence.

In the thirty-two months that this blog has been operational, we have been unable to inspire a single person to jump on board. Recruiting people to a dream can be tiring. This means that the primary purpose of the blog has been overshadowed by the secondary purpose. It has become an unnecessary burden to maintain this blog to the same level that we had at the start of the project. While I can attest to a few skills here and there, writing for leisure reading might not be my strong suit.. or weak suit. Well just any suit really, but you get what I'm saying.

Someone has moved our cheese! When something isn't working it is time to switch tactics. Further studies into web development, a new approach to social networking, and continued studies into software and game development have been the most recent tactics. A new direction with the same destination. We have created a server in Discord for Team Epimetheus, and joined an online game that boasts tens of thousands of players. While this might sound suspiciously like a wayward method of playing video games, it is indeed just a small part of a larger plan to draw people into our adventure.

This country has a new president, the spring season has begun, and things are really starting to heat up. We are steadying our branches and building perches. Let the turmoil of life thrash about, there will be a haven for hope here at Team Epimetheus.
