Here Comes 2023

Looking back on this year really excites us with a sense of pride. While we stuck to our guns on some of our approaches we also embraced a new one as well. What did we do differently this year you ask? Well, work was outsourced. Thomas Brush, a well-known Indy developer, strongly suggested outsourcing work to alleviate pressure on a small development team.

The artist that we found has a remarkable talent and her work is certainly generating a buzz. Her rendition of Valentina is what we were hoping for. This style of art that she brings to the table is exactly what this project needed. Please take the time to check out her other work <here>.

At the beginning of the year the decision to expand on each race and their corresponding nation gave the team direction for development. That goal was met and exceeded. One race per quarter meant four races per year. That gives a projected completion date of 2024 with twelve races needing development.

The nation of Quiyarus and the Elves were the first ones to be expanded upon. Second quarter we slithered into the development of the Draconian people and the nation of Glatar. Then autumn saw us delve into the Dwarves, both Mountain and Breather, and the nations of Donmolim and Yavadeth. We ended the year with the cold desolate Barrens and the Cyclops.

As we moved through the year early completion of quarterly deadlines left us time to work on the pilot game. This game will introduce some of our unique game approaches in a turn based city management style game. All artwork produced moving forward will be aimed toward the completion of this simple 2D game. That game will hit Steam by 2025.

Looking forward we intend on having the races reworked by BlizzardChill. At an image a month those should be done by the end of 2023. While continuing to develop a race each quarter extra effort will be put into securing more time to develop the pilot game.

Furthermore, greater energy will be put into generating a buzz about this project. There will be competitions, merch, raffles, quizzes and cash prizes this year as we drive more traffic to our blog and Facebook page. The development of merch alone will be quite the investment.

Yes folks, this promises to be an excellent year for our little project. We want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year. See you next year.
