Where's the Content?

Image
I bet many of you are wondering: why the gap in posts? Well this page, Team Epimetheus, serves as the front page of our collaborative efforts. However, there are a total of eight pages (blogs) all tied together. These other blogs, or lairs as we like to call them, were created to make navigation of our accomplishments as well as overall direction both more manageable and easier to browse through. Eventually, we will purchase a domain and transfer all of this to a private website. For now, Blogger has provided an amazing platform that costs absolutely nothing to utilize. I really am a fan of what is possible with Blogger, and applaud their services. So what are these other pages that I speak of? I am glad you asked that question. Let me give you a quick tour of our creative realm. Grab your torches, lock-picking tools and let's gear up for an adventure the likes of which will never be matched again in this digitized world! You are of course aware of our cover page: Team Epime...

Have you ever just tried too hard?

The more artistic content that is created utilizing the paint.net software, the better the work gets. When this project began an art asset took no more than ten to twelve hours to remaster. It seems like a world of time when considering it alone. However, if a world of time describes the time spent on the first examples then the more than thirty-six hours spent on the Nephilim must easily transcend to the life cycle of a solar system. Perhaps it is the finer details found within the talons of the feet or the odd body posture, or perhaps it is the detailed shading found within each horn and tusk. No matter which aspect of the remastering bogged down the progress of this particular asset, the image never truly felt complete. But sometimes a project has to be called complete, and this demonic-looking race needed to reach its omega. ...

Tragedy Strikes

I wanted to take the time today to, first and foremost, thank everybody for visiting our blog. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, there won't be any posts likely to happen this month. We know that your time is precious and valuable and we wouldn't ever try to diminish that in any way. As you may know, much of this shindig is run by one person, therefore when life intervenes progress on this blog can come almost to a standstill. But rest assured my friends, when the situation has changed we will be back on the horse riding it like the wild stallion of imagination that it is. If you're new to the blog and/or our project please take the time to read the past posts and get caught up with what we're doing, what we've done, and what we're going to do. As always we welcome your feedback. Please feel free to contact an admin or simply write a comment down below. We love you and look forward to entertaining you with more posts in the future....

Do You Have What It Takes?

Image
001 There is a lot that goes into keeping this shindig afloat. We have weekly posts, a weekly quote, a monthly storyline , artwork that is being remastered every day and pages that are being expanded and improved weekly as well. That is a lot for one guy. Thankfully, our Product Manager handles social media responsibilities. So, on the one hand, I feel, as the major contributor, as though I have let you guys down the last couple of weeks. There has been very little done on the expansion, and I still have yet to complete the Nephilim. Then there is the looming monthly installment for the storyline which is right around the corner, just waiting to lunge upon my free time like a ravenous wolf. 002 Luckily there is a passion to see this through that nary an unrefined monster, nor whimsical adage can fluster. Be it unfair weather patterns or personal valleys of melancholy and mayhem, the Developer Producer charges into the shadow of the sword with victory on his tongue. I...

Notre Dame Ablaze, Sparks French Pride

Image
Nothing brings people together like a tragedy. For us Americans, it was the horrific sight of people tumbling from the heights of the World Trade Center on live television. Nearly every person in the US and abroad witnessed the flames billowing from the building as that second passenger plane turned missile careened into an already devastating scene. So on some level, I think we can all, as Americans, relate to the terrible mix of emotions that come from witnessing such an event. Team Epimetheus sends our hearts and prayers to France as a nation. We recognize that there would not have been an America, as we know it, were it not for their intervention in the revolutionary war. We would be remiss not mention that one of the greatest icons of America, the Statue of Liberty, was a gift from our French brothers and sisters. There is a lot of amicable history between our nations, a history we are proud to mention. Photographer: Christopher Kramer In recognition of today's nation...

Vetted Followers Delight

Image
Team Epimetheus has come a long way since it was first created in July of 2018. We have: changed the theme, added a forum , provided people with a list of tasks that need to be accomplished, detailed how our " Credit to Royalties " program works, disseminated  a lot of information by setting up the "Creative Lairs" to make navigating game aspects easier and even a Go-Fund-Me page for people who have more money than time (God bless 'em). This was almost all done by one person believe it or not. When you consider the work put into remastering the individual races artwork alongside all of the aforementioned work, well  I should hope that you are mighty impressed. All of this is mentioned for a few reasons. First, these posts are the Team's way of updating everyone on what we have accomplished. Second, we have some new additions to the team. My daughter has begun to beat the drum in various forms of social media, which is pretty amazing. Thank you kiddo, ...

Naughty naughty naughty

Image
Did you know that 'naught' is the root word of 'naughty'? It is an English word meaning 'nothing; zero'. I mention this interesting tidbit of info because I did not write the post at its regular allotted time. So you see, I was naughty for writing naught. If you are shaking your head right now, don't worry I earned it, lol! Though this was in part because the first of the month is when we publish a new section of the story , there was also this factor of exhaustion that I cannot seem to shake. Ordinarily, I would simply buy a Monster or Redbull and get back on track. Alas, those methods are unhealthy and have long-term consequences that simply out-weigh any benefit. However, if you have checked out the new installment to the aforementioned story, you will see that it is substantially larger than last month's. Considerably more exciting too if I say so myself. What did you say? " So what slacker. You still had a whole week. " Well, that is ...
