 It is the tenth month in one of the craziest years I think any of us have ever encountered. So the topic of change shouldn't shock anyone, right? While we may be concerned for your health and well-being Team E is in a perfect situation to progress with no real hindrance from any virus. We produce our efforts in the comfort of our own homes, or wherever you and your portable device may fancy, we have no deadlines that are written in stone, and we work on a minimal budget. The only real impact, aside from any emotional turmoil or civil unrest, has been MORE free time to work on the project. The previous post remarked how we would begin building the new website as we plan to move away from Blogger. Blogger provided an amazing platform to present our progress. Having taken a two-month hiatus from social media we would have expected there to be a noticeable difference in the media outlets and the political landscape. Alas, it seems as though there is still much of the same. But in the midst of great storms, people will seek the security of anything solid and predictable. We hope that you can find that peace and tranquility in our monthly posts as we boldly push forward. Blogger has recently updated its interface. Having just returned the extent of the changes have yet to be discovered. While getting used to the new setup may take a little time the transition has been relatively painless. Their icons have changed but so subtly that there are very few of those frustrating moments where one finds themself lost, confused, and discouraged, kudos to the Dev Team at Blogger for that accomplishment. There has been so much craziness going on in the last couple of months that we here at Team Epimetheus have been wary about how best to move forward. With the pandemic scare, quarantine, riots, and national curfew, things have been concerning. To hear that mass numbers of Americans will be treated as terrorists on American soil is gut-wrenching. We do not condone police brutality nor do we condone violence toward our civil servants and stewards of law. We believe in our right to freedom of speech and assembly but do not condone violence and looting. At a time when our nation is facing a global pandemic, we as Americans must display the courage, objectivity, tolerance, and sensibility that we wish to find in others.  Our hearts are heavily burdened by the violence, the senseless killings, and the inappropriate riots that are plaguing our nation. While we feel that now is a time to speak out with passion and compassion, to address the atrocities that happen both by and to law enforce...

This time last year I think there would have been many people who would have been incredulous at the notion that the entire world would shut down, many people would be cooped up in their homes, economies would be placed in peril or that livestock would start being euthanized on the cusp of a global crisis for a flu bug. But that is exactly where we are today. Then there are the politicians in America who continue their childish finger-pointing and name-calling. The times have certainly changed. It begs the question: "When did our nation turn into such a circus?" So much of the work this last month has been done on the Classes or combat professions. While tons of effort has been invested into differentiating the different playable classes, deciding which ones will be in the first release, what weapons they can wield, which types of armor they can wear, what specialty skills their class possesses, what races can choose that profession, and what sort of restrictions might apply to someone of that given profession. Behind the scenes here, that has cost dozens of man-hours. Organizing something new can be an adventure. In tandem to the efforts of crafting the combat professions, skills created for the purpose of a profession must find its way onto the master skill list. Back in July of 2019, in the post ' Where's the Content ? ', we covered the many different extensions of this blog. The only way to keep any online platform relative is to keep updating it. In fact, it has been so long since Squiggletech has been updated, that its traffic has slowed to a grinding halt. This is not a failure, but a learning experience. In the September post ' Forging a World ', the question was asked what it took to make a unique game world. While Team Epimetheus is still working on the pre-production phase of the game's development, the Developer Producer and creator of the game has had to look at the roadmap of this game's development. There is a need to finance this project. So, one must ask oneself: Self, how are you going to do this? Where are you going to get the funds to make this game a reality? Ronald Reagan once said that "Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music." An awesome outlook. There are countless phrases and anecdotes that impress upon us a sunnyside to a darkened day. But sometimes even the strongest raincoats cannot prevent the rain from dampening your clothes. Spring of last year I separated from my family. Immediately after that my estranged family publicly shamed me. My Immediate brother lost the love of his life to a drug overdose that following summer. The little girl whom I love with all my heart and delivered singlehandedly, okay I used both hands, is no longer talking to me.
